Tactical Dividend
ETF Fund
This multi-award winning fund’s objective is to provide long term capital growth and current income. To accomplish this, we actively manage a diversified portfolio of exchange traded funds that give us exposure to income producing securities. All the while we manage the portfolio with a value investment style – increasing exposure to assets with an attractive valuation, while reducing positions in ETFs that are relatively expensive.
BMO
Tactical Balanced
ETF Fund
This is generally the most defensive of all the Sleep at Night Portfolios. Its objective is to provide long-term capital growth and preservation of capital by investing primarily in a diversified portfolio of global equity and fixed income exchange traded funds. The fund has a broad dynamic range for its asset mix – giving Larry Berman and ETF Capital Management the discretion to make significant tactical shifts over time – to reflect our outlook for market risk and each asset class.
BMO
Tactical Global Growth
ETF Fund
The Growth strategy still has the “Sleep at Night” factor in its DNA, but is the most long-term capital growth focused of the family. The fund invests primarily in a diverse portfolio of global equity exchange traded funds. The fund’s asset mix with respect to equities and bonds may be changed over time to reflect the portfolio manager’s outlook. The fund aims to deliver more up-market capture than down-market capture – aiming to improve risk adjusted returns compared to its benchmark, however it should be considered the most aggressive of all the “Sleep at Night” portfolios.

About Larry Berman’s
Sleep at Night Funds and ETF
Investments tend to swing up or down in value – known as volatility and it’s the price we pay to earn our long-term returns. Your ability to stay the course is likely the biggest obstacle you’ll face on the path to your goals.
At times, you’ve probably been tempted to sell your investments after your portfolio declined sharply. Volatility can also sweep you to into the latest investment mania, only to realize it was too late – and you end up selling at a loss. This reactive approach means investors often miss the recoveries that tend to follow market declines. This unintentional cycle of buying high and selling low can impact your net worth over time – often more so than the actual investments you choose.
As interest rates have fallen to levels where traditional investment thinking no longer works, you now face a dual challenge: Taking on more risk to generate the cash flow you require, AND the possibility of outliving your money. This raises the stakes, elevates anxiety, and makes you more susceptible to the kind of decisions which can derail the best laid plans.
To break the cycle, you need an investment strategy that accounts for human emotions. By smoothing out portfolio volatility, and delivering better “risk adjusted returns” we can help you sleep better at night. Since our Private Client services require a min of $1 Million dollars, we created the “Sleep at Night” suite of solutions with BMO so investors with any size portfolio can “Get Some ZZZs” !
